Pro bono campaign for Centro Benedetta D’Intino

CAGES

Born in 1994 from Cristina Mondadori’s dream in memory of her granddaughter Benedetta, the Benedetta D’Intino Center works to help children with severe communication disabilities, and on the occasion of its thirtieth anniversary it has entrusted Armando Testa with the study of a new campaign. A child who cannot say – neither with words nor with body language – mommy, I’m hungry, I’m happy, it hurts, is not a child who does not have thoughts, emotions, fears, dreams… he just does not know how to let them out, he cannot. His disability keeps him locked in a prison of incommunicability, and the work of the Center is the key that finally opens that cage, freeing for the first time thoughts and reactions that sometimes not even the parents themselves imagined existed. Three subjects for print, billboards and digital, and a film produced by AT Studios try to summarize the complex universe of AAC, revealing that, for each of those children, finally being able to express themselves is truly life.
